Sunrise Community Project Straseni, Moldova

Sunrise Assisted Living for the Elderly Citizens is a project based in the town of Straseni, aiming to serve the most vulnerable category of population as elderly are and specifically those who are single (lonely), sick or physically disabled and cannot cater for themselves.

The centre will provide the most vulnerable a public kitchen and offer them and other elderly in need laundry and public bath services. The centre will also serve as a socialization place where the beneficiaries will have the possibility to take part in various activities and in order to break the cycle of poverty elderly will be provided with trainings in acquiring skills.

Future programmes will include a kindergarten, various activities for children, development of a park, and a women's centre.
